Overview
We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Pastry Chef de Partie with at least 5 years of professional experience to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in classic and contemporary pastry techniques and is passionate about creating high-quality desserts and baked goods. This role requires creativity, precision, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This position will report directly to the Executive Chef of Pastry.
This role will pay an hourly wage of $25.84-$31.00 (per CBA).
Benefits are per the union agreement.
This position will remain open until September 1, 2025.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, breads, and other baked goods according to recipes and standards
- Develop new dessert concepts in collaboration with the pastry chef or executive chef
- Measure, mix, and prepare ingredients with precision
- Decorate and plate desserts for service, maintaining presentation standards
- Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and proper storage at all times
- Assist with Monitoring inventory levels and assist in ordering pastry supplies
- Maintain equipment and tools in proper working condition
- Train and mentor junior pastry staff as needed as directed by Executive Chef of Pastry
- The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work an event driven schedule including nights and weekends per business need
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Culinary or pastry school certification
- Experience in high-end restaurants, hotels, or patisseries
- Familiarity with dietary accommodations (gluten-free, vegan, etc.)
