Overview
The Parking Supervisor position is committed to providing supervision for parking volunteers during most events and is responsible for the protection and safeguarding of guests and employees and volunteers. This position is committed to providing a positive first impression. The position requires physical activity, including standing, walking, and climbing stairs.
This role pays an hourly rate of $19.00-$23.00 CAD
Benefits for Part-Time roles: Pension matching
This position will remain open until September 25, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Controlling and monitoring entry to the parking lots
- Provide all guests a positive first impression
- Providing direction and supervision to a changing team of 8+ volunteers
- Monitoring parking lots for safety and security of guests and employees and vehicles
- Provide guests with directions and other venue information
- Direct guests and employees to available parking spaces
- Ability to maximize the number of parked vehicles per lot
- Respond to all comments/complaints in a prompt, courteous and professional manner
- Cash handling and maintain security of cash
- Maintain a neat and clean appearance during all scheduled shifts
Qualifications
- Prior parking experience strongly preferred
- Customer service, cash handling, and point-of-sale abilities are a must
- Must be polite and friendly and possess excellent interpersonal skills, as this position has extensive guest and employee contact
- Ability to multi-task
- Must have a valid driver's license
- The ability to work various hours as needed, including nights and weekends
- Able to stand for long periods of time and walk long distances
- Ability to work outdoors with extreme heat and varying weather conditions
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to supervise a small group of volunteers
- Ability to lift heavy objects as needed
- Ability to visually observe the parking lots
