Overview
Under supervision of the Engineering Manager, the Painter will use color theory principles to match shades, follow written and verbal instructions, and use a variety of tools to paint surfaces. In this role you will complete minor repairs and select correct paints and primers
This role will pay an hourly rate of $18.00 to $20.00

Responsibilities
- Select the correct tools and paints for individual project assignments.
- Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting.
- Mix and apply paints, varnishes and sealants in a way that creates a lasting finish.
- Cover exposed objects and surfaces.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Use fillers such as putty and plaster to repair cracks.
- Follow the preventive maintenance program, energy management program, and standard operating procedures for all machinery and equipment.
- Promote a safe working environment for all employees by following the life safety and emergency program as needed.
- Respond to routine, precautionary and emergency alarms from building automation and life safety systems.
- Maintains walls (interior and exterior) of the entire complex, including all drywall repairs, sanding, and repainting.
- Maintain inventory of paint and supplies.
- Frequent bending, carrying, moving, climbing, working from various heights, lifting heavy objects, sitting, exposure to moderate-to-loud noises, and extensive walking through the building.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. and 2 years of basic construction knowledge.
- Experience prepping and painting residential or commercial spaces.
- Ability to tape and float is preferred.
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, drawings and other related materials.
- Ability to follow and adhere to all safety precautions, building codes, rules, regulations, risk management and emergency procedures.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.
- Ability to work independently, exercising judgment and initiative.
- Experience in stadiums, arenas, and/or convention centers is preferred.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends, nights and holidays required.
