Overview

Responsible for assisting Office Management with a full range of accounting operations including A/R, A/P, payroll reporting, filing, and GL entries. Assists with month-end closing, account reconcilliations, and profit statement reporting. 

 

This role will pay a salary of $19 to $23.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with oversight of accounting practices of staff for quality control (A/R, A/P, payroll, general accounting, clerical, and archiving functions).
  • Provide accounting support to company departments. Reconcile sales reports prior to month end postings. Oversee document codings. 
  • Collect data from multiple sources and generate reports of OVG's event operating results to Office Manager for review. Includes generating weekly A/P and labor reports.
  • Assist with general office work including but not limited to filing, scanning, emailing, faxing, and deposits. 
  • Review and post Non-Profit and Subcontractor Payouts.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality on highly sensitive private and/or proprietary information without exception. 
  • Submit documents to ADP for payroll enrollment after onboarding is completed.
  • Assist with weekly and monthly sales reports.
  • Communicate with internal and external clients in a professional and courteous manner.

 

Qualifications

  • Thorough understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
  • High level of of proficiency with computers, Microsoft applications, accounting/payroll systems. Experience with ADP and iPayables a plus.
  • Consistent and reliable attention to detail, accuracy and validity.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, changing environment. Must work well under pressure of deadlines.
  • Ability to interact with a diverse spectrum of individuals calmly, professionally, supportively.
  • Ability to adhere to highest standards of ethics, integrity, professionalism, and discretion. Ability to follow directions and execute tasks in a timely manner. 
  • Ability and willingness to work extended hours (i.e. evenings, weekends, and holidays), as frequently required by event or business necessity.
  • Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with company and business contacts. 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Arts or Sciences in Accounting or Finance; no certification required.
