Overview

Working closely with the Director of Marketing, this Marketing Coordinator position plays a key role in planning, creating, executing, and managing Canada Life Place’s social media presence. The role supports event promotion, tells the story of Canada Life Place, and drives audience engagement, while also assisting with a wide range of marketing initiatives including event marketing and advertising plans, email campaigns, promotions, partnerships, website content, in-venue marketing assets, and special events.

 

This role pays an hourly rate of $19.50-$20.75 CAD

Responsibilities

  • Play a key role the creation, scheduling, and publishing of content across all Canada Life Place social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X/Twitter), with a strong emphasis on event driven and trend responsive content.
    • Execute social media content plans for events, and venue initiatives.
    • Capture and create short-form video, photo, and graphic content for social platforms using Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, and CapCut, including Reels, Stories, TikToks, and YouTube.
    • Monitor social trends, platform best practices, and audience engagement to inform content strategy and improve reach and performance.
  • Responsible for managing in-venue signage and assets with assistance from the Marketing Director.
  • Creation and management of marketing, advertising, and promotional plans for upcoming events at Canada Life Place.
  • Prepare marketing settlements for events taking place at Canada Life Place.
  • Utilize all opportunities presented through the TM Engagement platform in collaboration with Ticketmaster to create Ultimate Insider email blasts to our database.
  • Responsible for managing content of the website and a liaison with our web provider, Carbonhouse, to make necessary additions, corrections, or revisions.
  • Responsible for managing, creating, and implementation of grassroots marketing plans to promote upcoming events.
  • Build and maintain third-party partnerships by identifying new opportunities and working with existing partners.
  • Assist the Director of Marketing with the management and execution of special events and promotions associated with upcoming events at Canada Life Place.
  • Assist the Director of Marketing with the development and execution of experiential activations for artists and tour crews backstage, and interactive fan experiences throughout the venue.
  • Write copy for venue-created events, social media content, blogs, press releases etc.
  • Responsible for managing the Canada Life Place Tour Program which consists of creating the program, scheduling, and providing guided tours of the facility
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of social media content creation, platform trends, and audience engagement strategies.
  • Experience creating short-form video and visual content for Instagram, TikTok, and other social platforms.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, live-event environments where real-time social coverage is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree, diploma, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and CapCut
  • Basic knowledge & interest in marketing and advertising functions
  • Understand the concept of branding.
  • Working knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
  • Previous event or entertainment marketing experience is preferred.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills in the English language.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments.
  • Flexible - must be available to work evenings, weekends, and all event days as assigned.
  • Team player who is creative and a proactive problem solver.
