Overview

The individual hired will work out of the corporate office in New York City or Denver on the Valuation, Research & Analytics team within OVG Global Partnerships; the sponsorship and marketing arm of Oak View Group (OVG). Suitable for the role are smart, curious and commercially aggressive professionals who have a track record of success in the sports & entertainment sponsorship industry. This candidate will primarily be helping to consolidate disparate data sources into a single data warehouse to be the central resource across all divisions. The department will work on the development of all analytics tools, reports and dashboards to drive better strategy and decision making for the Global Partnerships sales team and other OVG Divisions. The Manager of Valuation, Research & Analytics will support and drive the strategic assessment and financial evaluation of key sponsorable assets primarily within the sports and entertainment landscape. This role focuses on the valuation of naming rights, jersey patches, signage, media exposure, and other sponsorship assets, helping our team maximize revenue opportunities and develop data-driven insights that empower impactful partnership decisions.

 

This role pays an annual salary of $85,000-$90,000 and is bonus eligible

Responsibilities

Asset Valuation

  • Develop and maintain financial models to accurately estimate the value of sponsorship assets such as naming rights (stadiums, arenas), jersey patches, signage, and digital integrations.
  • Analyze comparable deals in the sports and entertainment marketing ecosystem to benchmark valuations and provide defensible pricing guidance.
  • Build asset-specific frameworks that incorporate media equivalency, audience reach, brand alignment, and potential sales lift.

Data-Driven Analytics

  • Collect, clean, and analyze fan demographic data, attendance figures, broadcast impressions, and social media engagement to quantify asset exposure and fan affinity.
  • Apply advanced analytics (e.g., regression modeling, scenario analysis) to predict asset performance and measure the impact of sponsorship activations.
  • Create clear reports that visualize asset valuations and key performance metrics for internal teams and external partners.

Market Research and Benchmarking

  • Conduct research on sports sponsorship trends including recent deal structures, price points, and sponsor categories.
  • Identify emerging trends in sports sponsorships, including digital and social media integrations, that could influence asset value and sales strategies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Partnership Sales to develop pricing strategies, sales materials, and compelling value propositions for key sponsorship assets.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Legal, and Operations to ensure that valuations align with brand goals, contractual requirements, and execution feasibility.
  • Support senior leadership with scenario analyses, deal evaluations, and go-to-market strategies to drive revenue growth and partnership success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Marketing, Business Analytics, Sports Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 3-5 years of experience in sports sponsorship valuation, consulting, analytics, or a related role focused on monetizing sponsorship assets.
  • Deep knowledge of sports sponsorship models—particularly naming rights, jersey patches, and venue-based assets.
  • Proficient in Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent tools; experience with R, Python, or similar a plus.
  • Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for sales and leadership teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Passion for sports and entertainment and an entrepreneurial approach to problem-solving.
  • Highly driven self-starter, with ability to work independently without supervision
  • Ability to manage long-term projects as well as quick turnaround assignments
