Overview

Overview: The Manager of Construction Project Management plays a critical role in facilitating aspects of venue construction projects within the Global Development organization. This position requires an agile thinker with exceptional project management skills, a strong understanding of construction processes, and a keen eye for detail. The Manager of Construction Project Management will support the VP of Project Management in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

 

The Manager of Construction Project Management plays a crucial role in driving the success of construction projects and ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position requires a combination of agile thinking, strong project management skills, and technical expertise in construction project management.

 

This role will pay a salary of $60,000 to $80,000.

Responsibilities

  1. Project Planning: Assist and support plans for construction projects in alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  2. Project Management: Assist and support all phases of construction projects, including planning, designing, scheduling, budgeting, and execution. Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining quality standards.
  3. Standards and Requirements: Ensure company’s established standards are understood and followed throughout the construction process.
  4. Project Team Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to the construction project management team. Foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  5. Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders. Address any issues or concerns promptly and effectively.
  6. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and assist with mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure project success.
  7. Budget Management: Assist with managing project budgets effectively, monitoring expenses and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
  8. Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to ensure that construction projects meet industry standards and client expectations.
  9. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and safety standards. Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends.
  10. Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on project status, including milestones achieved, budget updates, and potential risks.
  11. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in project management.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or equivalent experience.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management
  3. Minimum of 1 year of experience in construction project management
  4. Strong understanding of construction processes, including scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.
  5. Excellent project leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire project teams.
  6. Awareness of construction regulations, codes, and safety standards.
  7. Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  9. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  10. Travel to various sites is required. Position may require multiple weeklong stays on site.
