Overview
Under the supervision of the Director of Facilities and Maintenance,The Maintenance Technician is responsible for effective preventative and planned maintenance of site assets as well as troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems including but not limited to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and carpentry at our venue. A Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and reliability of facilities and equipment. The position demands a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving ability, physical capability, and attention to detail, making it essential for smooth facility operations and timely resolution of maintenance issues.
This role pays an hourly rate of $18.00-$22.00.

Responsibilities
- Handle assigned work orders for all services and activities involved in the maintenance and operations of the venue including HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, chillers, refrigeration, ice making, boilers and associated equipment.
- Perform maintenance on electrical systems (replace light bulbs and receptacles, etc.)
- Conduct general upkeep procedures and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry, etc.)
- Troubleshoot necessary repairs throughout facility concession stands on equipment including but not limited to sinks, ice machines, general repairs, etc.
- Able to operate a forklift, scissor lift, or equivalent.
- Maintain knowledge of changes in pertinent Federal, State and Local regulations
- Assist with other event and operational tasks as needed to help the overall success of the building
Perform routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and systems to identify issues and prevent breakdowns (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical).
Conduct preventive maintenance to avoid equipment failure and extend the lifespan of machinery.
Repair or replace faulty equipment and components, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
Handle minor construction and facility tasks, such as carpentry, painting, drywall repair.
Use diagnostic tools and reference materials (manuals, blueprints) to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of supplies through our work order system.
Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations during all maintenance activities.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and determine whether to repair in-house or call specialists.
Qualifications
- 2-3+ years of experience in a similar role.
- High school diploma or equivalent; certifications in HVAC, building maintenance, or related fields are preferred.
- Ability to read and interpet work orders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must have availability to work long hours, nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Problem-solving skills to diagnose and correct equipment malfunctions.
- Manual dexterity and physical strength to perform repairs, installations, and maintenance tasks.
- Time management and attention to detail to complete tasks efficiently and prevent future issues.
- Effective communication skills to report equipment status and coordinate with team members or management.
