Overview
The seasonal Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality food for festival guests, artists, VIP areas, and staff while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and sanitation. This position works in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and plays an important role in delivering an exceptional food service experience throughout the festival.
This role pays an hourly rate of $20.00 and is tip eligible.
This is a seasonal role from July 10, 2026, and will end on July 11, 2026.
This position will remain open until July 11, 2026.Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
- Assist with food preparation for general concessions, VIP hospitality, artist catering, and staff meals.
- Ensure food is served safely, accurately, and efficiently during high-volume service periods.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and prep area.
- Monitor food quality and proper storage to ensure freshness.
- Assist with receiving, stocking, and rotating inventory.
- Safely operate commercial kitchen equipment and utensils.
- Work closely with kitchen staff and supervisors to ensure efficient service.
- Support setup, breakdown, and cleaning of kitchen operations before, during, and after the event.
- Perform other duties as assigned by culinary leadership.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a line cook in a restaurant, catering, hospitality, or event environment preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume festival setting.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and safe food handling practices.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and festival dates.
- Food Handler or ServSafe certification preferred (or ability to obtain if required).
- Must have reliable and punctual attendance.
- Ability to remain calm and perform efficiently under pressure.
