Responsibilities
Ingredient Preparation: Wash, peel, chop, slice, and portion vegetables, fruits, meats, and other ingredients as per recipes.
Basic Cooking Tasks: Perform tasks like reducing sauces, parboiling, and assembling simple dishes such as salads or appetizers.
Organization & Inventory: Label and stock ingredients using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
Sanitation & Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by sanitizing surfaces, washing dishes, and disposing of trash.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a safe working environment
Team Collaboration: Work closely with chefs, line cooks, and other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient meal preparation.
Qualifications
Previous kitchen experience preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training a plus.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items.
