Overview

As an Integrated Marketing Intern with Acrisure Arena and the Coachella Valley Firebirds, you’ll gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced sports and entertainment environment. You’ll learn how different areas of marketing work together, from developing campaigns and creating digital content to supporting community events and game day promotions. The internship offers opportunities to collaborate across departments, build fan engagement strategies, and use data to measure success - providing a 360° view of how marketing drives both a professional sports team and a premier live entertainment venue.

 

The Integrated Marketing Intern position with the Acrisure Arena and the Coachella Valley Firebirds is a paid internship that plays a supporting Acrisure Arena and the Firebirds’ Integrated Marketing team. This role offers hands-on experience working within a professional sports and event organization, contributing to fan engagement, brand growth, and community impact. The intern will collaborate with multiple marketing functions—including digital, social, community relations, and communications—while building valuable skills in content creation, campaign support, and project management. Hours of operation include weekdays, weekends, nights and some holidays based on event schedules. This role will report to the Director of Integrated Marketing.

 

Internship will end with the conclusion of December 2025.

 

This role will pay an hourly wage of $19.50 to $20.00 per hour

 

This position will remain open until September 15th, 2025.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of fan newsletters and promotional emails.
  • Support storytelling efforts by conducting interviews, writing copy, and helping create digital assets.
  • Contribute to the development of sales and marketing materials.
  • Assist with in-arena and community marketing activations.
  • Support digital campaigns across social media, email, team app, and the team/venue websites.
  • Collaborate daily with the Arena & Firebirds marketing staff on creative content and promotional projects.
  • Work with internal departments and external partners/agencies to support marketing initiatives.
  • Help manage timelines and deliverables using project tracking tools.
  • Share creative assets and materials with internal staff, and team partners

Qualifications

Requirements

  • College Student (must be 18 years or older).
  • Currently pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, sports management or a related field
  • Willing to commit to the intern position for four months, with the possibility of a longer internship available
  • Willing to learn and get hands-on experience
  • Able to commit at least 12 hours a week to be physically present at the facility
