In-Game Public Address Announcer | Part-Time | Acrisure Arena
Overview
The G League Coachella Valley Lakers are seeking a dynamic and professional In-Game Public Address Announcer to serve as the in-arena voice for home games throughout the season for 24 home games for the 2026-2027 season, running from November 2026 through March 2027, including playoffs. The Public Address Announcer will play an integral role in creating an energetic, engaging, and entertaining game-day atmosphere for fans while delivering all required in-game announcements, promotions, player introductions, and basketball-related information. This position will support all scheduled home games throughout the regular season, postseason, and other basketball-related events as assigned. The Public Address Announcer may also serve as a host or emcee for select community, promotional, and special events as needed.
This role will pay an hourly rate of $40.00.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary in-arena voice for all G League Lakers home games.
- Deliver player introductions, starting lineups, in-game announcements, partner and promotional reads, contests, game information, and other PA elements as assigned.
- Maintain an energetic, engaging, and professional presence throughout the game while adapting delivery to the pace and atmosphere of the event.
- Work closely with the Game Presentation, Game Entertainment, Production, and Game Operations teams to execute the in-game presentation.
- Communicate and coordinate with the Game Director and Game Presentation team throughout each event.
- Follow all NBA, G League, and organizational rules, procedures, policies, and game presentation protocols.
- Attend game presentation meetings, rehearsals, training sessions, and other meetings as requested by management.
- Take direction and implement real-time adjustments based on game flow, production needs, and management feedback.
- Assist with operational support and/or talent responsibilities across various production platforms, including digital, social media, community events, and other organizational initiatives as directed.
- Maintain a professional and positive presence while representing the G League Lakers and organizations in public, on social media, and during community or promotional appearances.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities assigned to support organizational and league needs.
Qualifications
- Professional speaking, announcing, hosting, or entertainment experience preferred.
- Previous experience as a PA announcer, radio personality, voice-over talent, live event host, or sports entertainment talent preferred.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of basketball.
- Excellent communication, timing, listening, and improvisational skills.
- Ability to project energy and excitement while maintaining a polished and professional delivery.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changes in game flow, production direction, last-minute changes, and event needs.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, live-event environment.
- Ability to receive, understand, and immediately implement creative and performance feedback.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with Game Presentation, Production, Operations, and other departments.
- Professional demeanor and ability to represent the organization appropriately in public and across social media platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to take direction and execute production cues in a fast-paced, live environment.
- Exceptional communication, improvisation, and listening skills.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and postseason games as applicable.
Experience
- 2+ years of professional experience in live sports announcing, entertainment, broadcasting, hosting, or public speaking.
- Proven experience performing in front of large audiences in a professional sports or entertainment environment.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver scripted and unscripted content with strong vocal presence, timing, personality, and professionalism.
- Previous NBA, G League, WNBA, NCAA, professional sports, arena, stadium, or major live-event experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of basketball and familiarity with live game presentations.
