Overview

Housekeeping performs a variety of tasks related to custodial and cleaning services before an event, during an event, and after an event. Also responsible for routine trash removal and facility clean up. Ability to work odd or unusual hours, split shifts, or holidays in preparing for an event. Ability to perform routine custodial and minor maintenance work in the cleaning and care of the facilities. 

 

This role pays an hourly rate of $13.00-$17.00

Responsibilities

  • Mix and prepare cleaning products; clean facility interior and exterior; vacuum, sweep, mop, clean and wax floors.
  • Ensures a safe environment for patrons; removes liquids and debris from walkways through the building during events. 
  • Clean and sanitize restroom facilities and fixtures; replenish supplies in restrooms. Wash windows, mirrors, walls, and countertops. 
  • Remove and dispose of debris from parking lots and walkways; empty waste receptables. 
  • Perform additional staff functions for events. 
  • All employees will report known or expected irregularities to the immediate supervisor to ensure compliance. 
  • Required to follow OSHA and in house safety guidelines. 
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred.  
  • work experence preferred but not required
  • Working knowledge of building cleaning practices, methods, supplies and equipment.  
  • Ability to perform routine and repetitive custodial tasks without immediate supervision. 
  • Ability to walk the entire shift , stoop, bend, twist, climb stairs, and lift/push up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Required to successfully complete on site CPR and blood borne pathogen training.
