Overview

The Guest Services Staff, Ballfields provides customer and guest service for players and guests at the ballfields and other events at the Doggett Ford Park complex. This position is geared towards the ballfields but provides additional opportunities to work at the complex.

 

This role pays an hourly rate of $11.00-$15.00

Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities will vary depending on each tournament, practice, or event and may include providing excellent customer service to all guests by maintaining a friendly, professional, and helpful demeanor at all times.
  • Accurately scan and verify tickets to ensure proper entry into the facility while maintaining efficiency during high-volume periods.
  • Maintain an accurate count of guests entering and exiting the venue to support event operations and capacity management.
  • Provide guest and event services, including greeting guests upon arrival, offering directions or assistance, and creating a welcoming environment.
  • Enforce complex rules, policies, and safety regulations in a consistent, respectful, and professional manner.
  • Remain attentive to guest needs and safety concerns, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
  • Assist supervisors and managers with operational tasks and event-related needs as required.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to both internal team members and external clients, contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to complete additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned to support overall event success.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in sports, recreation, or safety-related roles is preferred.
  • Familiarity with baseball and/or softball is strongly preferred.
  • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with guests and team members.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and adherence to facility operating procedures and guidelines.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential for this role.
