Overview
As a member of the UPMC Events Center Guest Experience team, you will serve as either a Ticket Taker or an Usher. In this role you will deal directly with guests attending public and private events such as concerts, basketball games, volleyball games, corportate games and many others. You will assist with providing guests information, directions, and overall elite customer service. This positions reports to the Director of Events.
This role will pay an hourly wage of $12.50.

Responsibilities
• Welcome guests to the building, provide directions, and answer any questions that may arise
• Scan tickets and/or keep an accurate turnstile count
• Direct guests to their seats
• Monitor aisles/stairs in assigned section to be kept clear and compliant with fire code
• Provide information on nearest restrooms, concessions, merchandise, box office, or exits
• Resolve guest complaints quickly and exceed the guests’ expectations
• Oversee assigned area for spills or situations requiring staff attention
• Enforce building policies and event procedures
• Possess a positive attitude and facilitate teamwork and respect among co-workers
• Provide exceptional customer service to all guests
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
• Effectively communicate and solve problems quickly
• Greet guests in a friendly manner and be professional at all times
• Remain calm in high pressure situations
• One year prior experience in a customer service position preferred
• Have a reliable source of transportation
• Employee must be at least 18 years old
