Overview
The Global Internal Communications Intern is responsible for fostering an informed, actively engaged, and inclusive workforce committed to supporting each other, our mission, and our communities. The department, under People and Culture, develops and executes strategies to inform and influence a diverse global workforce around organizational goals and company priorities. We support employee communication and internal brand, digital information portal, and community impact. These intentional communications engage employees with the OVG culture, harnessing our collective entrepreneurial spirit to revolutionize the sports and live entertainment industry—making big things happen together.
This role is expected to last from from June 8, 2026 and will end on August 7, 2026.
This role pays an hourly rate of $22.00
This position will remain open until May 29, 2026.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions (including, but not limited to):
- Contribute fresh perspectives and creative ideas to support communication campaigns and employee engagement initiatives.
- Assist with intranet and employee app content management, including organizing, editing, uploading, and creating engaging content.
- Write compelling messages that tell engaging stories across channels (intranet, email, newsletters, etc.) using a range of visual media (graphics, video, gifs).
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders on social media initiatives highlighting internal workforce projects.
- Support virtual and in-person employee-centric events, such as Town Halls, Employee Resource Group activities, benefits webinars, and more.
- Help manage editorial calendars and track communication projects.
- Serve as a solution-oriented, agile, and proactive problem solver in all areas of responsibility.
- Research industry trends and best practices to inform internal communications strategy.
Key Learnings:
- Gain hands-on experience in writing and creating content for internal and external corporate audiences in the sports and live entertainment industry.
- Strengthen storytelling, writing, and content strategy skills through the development of engaging content in digital, video, and written formats to support internal storytelling.
- Exposure to corporate responsibility programs and community impact initiatives.
- Skills in intranet and employee app platform content management.
- Growth in cross-functional collaboration, project management, and communications.
Qualifications
Required:
- Rising Junior, Senior, or graduate student in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field.
- Basic understanding and curiosity about communication principles, tools, and channels.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work on a project team.
- Interest in enhancing proven writing and editing skills.
- Must be detail-oriented, well organized, and possess excellent follow-up skills.
- Must be self–motivated, able to prioritize, and work independently.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required; working knowledge of SharePoint preferred.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States throughout the entire duration of the internship. Sponsorship is not available.
Preferred (Nice-to-have):
- Experience with Canva and Content Management Systems is preferred.
- Graphic design, video editing, and social media interest are a plus.
