Overview
The Executive Director of One Valley Foundation will work closely with the Foundation Board of Directors, Coachella Valley Firebirds leadership, community partners and donors to lead and advance the Foundation’s mission.
This role pays an annual salary of $85,000-$90,000 and is bonus eligible

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic plan that aligns with the Foundation’s mission and core pillars of Education, Community and Access to Hockey.
- Oversee all Foundation operations including budgeting, financial management, compliance, and staff supervision.
- Develop and publish press releases, articles, and other materials that accurately portray and support the Foundation's storytelling and philosophy.
- Manage digital strategy efforts with marketing team to generate awareness of the One Valley Foundation, community initiatives, and sustainability initiatives via arena website, digital marketing, e-commerce, and all social media platforms.
- Develop new events and opportunities for fundraising and fan/community engagement.
- Serve as an official spokesperson with the media regarding all topics related to the Foundation.
- Collaborate across all departments for coordination, creation, and publication of the Foundation's Annual Report.
- Manage a budget with targeted revenue and expense goals.
- Lead quarterly Board meetings and partner with Board Members on organization oversight and fiduciary responsibilities.
- Work with controller and counsel on budget management and compliance.
- Oversee all fundraising efforts including 50/50 Raffle during Firebirds games.
- Build relationships with non-profit partners and other community organizations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business administration, public relations or related field preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in nonprofit or foundation management.
- Strong experience in public relations, marketing and fundraising.
- Knowledge of leadership and management principles for nonprofit organizations.
- Experience with creating successful community outreach programs.
- Experience working with venues, arenas, or live sports and entertainment is a plus.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends, nights and holidays required.
- Strong sense of creativity and organization.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Sense of ownership and pride, in your performance and its impact on the company’s success.
- Team player with excellent time-management skills.
- Frequent bending, lifting 15-20 pounds, sitting, exposure to multiple external elements, extensive walking through the building.
