Overview
We’re looking for energetic, reliable, and customer-focused Event Staff to join our Fan Experience team at the First Ontario Concert Hall and the Studio. As part of the front-of-house Fan Experience team, you’ll play a key role in creating a safe, welcoming, and memorable experience for every guest who walks through our doors. As Fan Experience, you are the face of our venue. You’ll interact directly with guests and support event operations in a variety of roles, including ushering, ticket taking, and crowd management.
This role pays an hourly rate of $18.62 CAD (per CBA)
Benefits as per the union agreement.
This position will remain open until August 14, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and provide exceptional customer service at all times
- Scan tickets, assist with seating, and provide directional support
- Monitor assigned areas to ensure safety, cleanliness, and smooth operations
- Manage guest flow, including line control and crowd movement
- Respond to guest inquiries, concerns, or conflicts professionally and efficiently
- Identify and report any safety concerns, maintenance issues, or incidents
- Complete incident and event reports as required
- Work a variety of front-of-house roles, including ushering, ticket taking, and access control
- Address ticket problems, guest issues, dissatisfied or unruly patrons and report to Supervisor/Management
- Follow all venue policies, procedures, and safety protocols
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service or guest-facing roles
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stay calm and professional in fast-paced or high-pressure situations
- Comfortable working with large crowds and diverse audiences
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors, in low lighting and loud environments
- Positive, friendly, and approachable attitude
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and responsibly in a team environment as well as excellent judgment and decision-making skills
