Overview
Reporting to the Director of Parking & Transportation, the Event Logistics Manager role will be comprised of two areas of focus. The primary focus for this position will be the overall execution of event parking logistics, including oversight of event parking staff to ensure the safe ingress and egress of patrons for all events taking place at UBS Arena. The secondary focus for this position will be the management and coordination of the technology tools which powers our parking system.
This role will pay an annual salary of $75,000-$85,000.

Responsibilities
- Ensure operational excellence and high-quality service by developing and implementing efficient procedures with emphasis on continual improvement.
- Hire, develop, train, and support team of in-house part-time event parking supervisors, ambassadors, and porters.
- Perform and coordinate minor maintenance of event parking devices (ticket jams in kiosks, repair barrier gates).
- Train designated staff on remote management of event parking systems.
- Inspect all electronic equipment to ensure they are operational.
- Work with the Operations Department to ensure all events are set up to the client's specifications and that all fire codes and safety regulations are being followed.
- Coordinate and provide clear, concise, and timely communication with building staff of all requirements necessary for events by preparing and distributing detailed Event Data Sheets, diagrams, and event staffing requirements for each assigned event.
- Problem solve, make quick decisions and delegate responsibility while remaining professional and pleasant during stressful situations.
- Recommend and evaluate required event staffing levels based on event budgets.
- Responsible for the hiring, disciplinary actions, performance evaluations, scheduling, training and development of part-time event parking staff.
- Assist Director with creating new parking ticketing products, additional revenue streams, and reducing costs of the ticketing and access operation.
- Assist Director with working towards sustainability goals, including revenue and operational audits.
- Assist with strategic planning, access management planning, and budgeting.
- Review/analyze guest surveys and other performance measures to maximize operational performance.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in event management preferred.
- Knowledge of parking revenue management systems.
- Experience working with parking services such as ParkWhiz, ParkHub, or similar tools.
- General knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations.
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Able to work flexible hours including, but not limited to, nights, weekends, early mornings, evenings, and holidays, with extended hours ranging up to 16 hours.
- Experience in the development and management of operating and event-related budgets.
- Experience managing a large staff of 50 to 100 part-time employees.
- Must be comfortable working with the public and have strong interpersonal and communications skills.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and other federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- An ability to lead, give clear and concise direction, and provide feedback to staff.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills required.
- Valid driver license required.
