Overview

Oak View Group is seeking dependable and hardworking individuals to join our team as a Dishwasher. As a Dishwasher, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment while supporting culinary and food service operations throughout the venue. This is a vital role within our Food & Beverage team, helping ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and kitchen efficiency for every event. Whether supporting large-scale banquets, weddings, sporting events, or conferences, Dishwashers play an essential part in delivering exceptional guest experiences. This role pays an hourly rate of $19.00-$23.00 CAD

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring all dishes, glassware, utensils, cookware, serving equipment, and small wares are cleaned and sanitized to the highest standards.
  • Operating dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintaining strict sanitation and food safety standards in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilizing WHMIS guidelines and adhering to all health and safety procedures.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen workspaces, food preparation areas, and food service equipment.
  • Sorting, organizing, and properly storing cleaned kitchen items and service ware.
  • Removing garbage and recycling and maintaining loading, receiving, and waste disposal areas in a clean and safe condition.
  • Supporting kitchen and catering teams to ensure smooth and efficient event operations.
  • Assisting with general cleaning and organizational duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a restaurant, catering, hospitality, or food service environment is considered an asset.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to excellent attendance.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally and respectfully with coworkers, management, and guests.
  • Food Safe Certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
  • Additional food handling or service certifications may be required based on regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull kitchen equipment and supplies.
  • Comfortable working in a busy kitchen environment with frequent movement.
  • Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout shifts.
