Overview

The Dishwasher is responsible for the sanitation of all kitchen equipment, cooking utensils, dishware, glassware, and silverware and disposal of trash at the SoFi Center for each TGL Season and year-round private events. The Dishwasher is also responsible for the cleanliness of all back-of-house areas, including sanitization and maintenance of equipment, shelving, tabletops, floors, walls, and more. Dishwashers will assist in pulling and staging all equipment prior to set-up, during the event, and during clean-up. Dishwashers are expected to stay composed and flexible in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong initiative and teamwork to ensure event success.

 

This role will pay an hourly rate of $22.00 - $23.00.

Responsibilities

  • Operate dish machine equipment & wash any items not dishwasher-safe by hand.
  • Ensures highest sanitation levels for all items previously used so that they may be used again in clean condition, free of any contamination risk
  • Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishes.
  • Assist in maintaining clean and orderly storage areas for kitchen equipment and supplies.
  • Place clean dishes, utensils or equipment in proper storage areas
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, such as dishwashers, garbage disposals, and ovens.
  • Sort and remove trash or compost and clean after usage.
  • Clean up spills and/or breakage on the event and kitchen floors
  • Ensures compliance with health, sanitation, safety, and employment regulations in accordance with company standards.
  • Sweep, mop, and sanitize floors and work areas at the conclusion of each shift or as needed.
  • Restock and organize workstations and display areas to prepare for the next shift.
  • Complete assigned opening, operating, and closing duties according to established procedures.
  • Verify that all equipment is cleaned, sanitized, and properly secured at the end of the shift.
  • Conduct a final inspection of the kitchen and storage areas to ensure cleanliness and operational standards are met.
  • Communicate low inventory levels, product shortages, and supply needs to the Concessions Supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing inventory according to company procedures.
  • Assist on plate-up and food production line as needed
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Five or more months’ experience in a fast-paced food service industry role preferred.
  • High School Diploma, G.E.D., or related food service experience preferred.
  • Ability to work weekdays and weekends, with availability for some morning, noon, and evening shifts on an on-call/event-based schedule.
  • Must possess an active State Food Handlers Certification or be willing to obtain one upon hire.
  • Ability to follow food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods is required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with employees, management, and guests in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, such as boxes and equipment is required.
