Overview
The Cook supports the Executive Chef in the preparation & production of food for the venue at catered/suite functions. Responsible or set-up, sanitation, cleaning & closing of workstation area. employee will work in an ever changing, fast-paced environment. The employee must maintain excellent attendance & be available to work an event based schedule.
This role pays an hourly rate of $17.00 to $19.00

Responsibilities
- Assists with the delivery of food to designated function areas.
- Supports with cooking (firing of food products, utilitizing a variety of equipment: convection oven, fryer, steams, among others.
- Responsible for maintaining quality and production standards on all menu items. Food must be fresh and of high quality when served to the guests.
- Assists with preparation of suite pre-orders, mid-event orders, catering events & varying concession items.
- Responsible for portion control and serving temperatures of all products served in the concession stand.
- Responsible for cleaning, stocking and restocking of workstations.
- Assist with cleaning dishes using the dishwasher & handwashing.
- Maintains a positive & compiant employee relations cliamate
- Ensures that all work areas and equipment are clean, food products are properly stored, utensils are clean and put away and floor is swept and mopped at end of shift.
- Maintains sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas.
- Must show demonstrated ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance.
Qualifications
- Previous experience or training in food preparation or other related kitchen experience required.
- Detail oriented, ability to multi-task & effectively prioritize in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights & weekends (based on events).
- Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and guests in a clear, business-like and respectful manner which focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic and cooperative work environment.
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
- Possess valid food handling certificate if required by state and federal regulations.
