Overview

As a key member of the Operations Team, the Conversion Supervisor will be responsible for the set up and tear down of all event/concerts at the Tribute Communities Centre. Conversion supervisor will oversee a crew of 6-20 staff and ensure all event details are completed in a safe and timely manner. 

 

This role pays an hourly rate of $25.00 CAD

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and safely lead crews of 6-20 staff for concert & event set-ups utilizing; folding chairs, drapery, stacking chairs and tables; all various shapes and sizes
  • Working knowledge of operations equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, staging, retractable seating risers, basketball floors, hockey glass, etc.
  • Strong leadership skills with an ability to comprehend Event Details and communicate clear instructions for concert and event set ups
  • Communicate positively and professionally with internal customers and co-workers to meet organizational goals
  • Climb stairs and be able to lift 75lbs unaided
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, move in repetitive motions, etc.
  • Good knowledge of hand and power tools
  • Perform other duties assigned

Qualifications

  • Must express a willingness to learn and adapt to a changing work environment
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays and mostly overnights as needed
  • General knowledge of concert and event set up and tear down
  • Handle multiple tasks at one time and meet deadlines
  • Must have demonstrated ability to function safely in a fast paced, high-pressure environment
  • Fork lift and First Aid certification is required
  • WHMIS certification
  • Possess superior interpersonal and communication skills
  • Basic computer knowledge – Outlook, Excel
  • Adhere to all OVG service standards and policies including Health & Safety
  • Work in compliance of the Occupational Health & Safety Act
  • Perform all related duties and special projects as assigned
