Overview
The Conversion Supervisor is responsible for leading one of our conversion crews in a safe and efficient manner under the direction of Conversion Managers. The Supervisor is responsible for setting areas at our venue including Central Bank Center, Rupp Arena and The Lexington Opera House. This includes staging, chairs, linens, platforms, pipe and drape and other necessary equipment for our clients. The Supervisor will be responsible for training, planning for and overseeing Conversion Crew members.
This role will pay an hourly rate of $20.00-$23.00

Responsibilities
- Supervise and actively assist full-time and part-time crews with the setup and breakdown of events, including staging, tables, chairs, carpet, pipe and drape, risers, and other equipment and materials.
- Train, guide, and orient new and current team members in proper event setup and teardown procedures, safe equipment use, supply storage, timekeeping, and vehicle operation.
- Safely operate forklifts, aerial lifts, and other job-related equipment. Must meet OSHA certification requirements for all designated machinery.
- Ensure all areas are clean, accurate, and fully prepared according to event sheets or departmental standards before event start times.
- Provide clear direction to crew members during event setups, changeovers, and breakdowns in line with event requirements and timelines.
- Support the receipt, storage, shipment, and inventory tracking of incoming freight and event-related materials.
- Oversee the duties and performance of contract labor and temporary personnel to ensure consistent work quality and safety standards.
- Participate in interviewing, selecting, and recommending candidates for open positions within the department.
- Assist with employee evaluations, performance discussions, and disciplinary actions as needed for assigned team members.
- Help prepare weekly staff schedules and assign tasks based on the event calendar to ensure proper coverage and timely execution.
- Lead assigned setup and teardown activities, ensuring work is completed efficiently and according to plan.
- Assist in conducting OSHA and department safety trainings including general safety, bloodborne pathogens, forklift operations, PPE use, and hazardous communication protocols.
- Must be available to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as event schedules require.
- Perform administrative tasks and other duties as assigned by the Department Manager to support overall department operations.

- Demonstrated supervisory and leadership abilities with experience directing teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and planning skills to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Experience in training and guiding new and existing employees on procedures, safety, and performance expectations.
- Ability to read, interpret, and execute from event sheets and floor plans.
- Solid understanding of event setup and teardown procedures, including standard practices and safety protocols.
- Must be accessible via personal phone or other reliable contact method to respond to department needs.
Physical Requirements:
- Must possess full range of motion, including normal vision and hearing, to perform essential job functions.
- Frequently works in high-pressure conditions, including irregular hours, weekends, and under strict time constraints.
- May be required to access elevated areas within the venue.
