OVG’s Global Marketing Group is looking for you. As a Content Strategist, Sales & Marketing Operations, you will be the go-to content storyteller for proposals, presentation materials, special projects, and other deliverables with the sole purpose of bringing home wins.

 

Working closely with the Business Development and Project Management teams, the Content Strategist role requires a creative self-starter with a journalistic mindset who will proactively seek out compelling stories and craft them into engaging, client-focused content. This individual will bring a thoughtful, team-oriented mentality to support multiple teams and lines of business.

 

This role will pay an annual salary of $100,000 - $120,000

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

 

Craft Winning Stories

  • Create tailored, persuasive proposal content that speaks directly to client needs and aspirations.
  • Translate complex ideas into clear, engaging narratives that bring our vision to life.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends by attending conferences and translating insights into action.

Own the OVG Story

  • Build and maintain a dynamic library of boilerplate content that reflects OVG’s voice, values, and capabilities.
  • Partner with sales, marketing, and subject matter experts to capture fresh, accurate, and compelling language.
  • Proactively update and refine our content arsenal to keep every proposal sharp and relevant.

Polish Every Word

  • Be the team’s go-to grammar nerd and message wrangler.
  • Review drafts for clarity, consistency, and strategic focus.
  • Ensure every piece of content meets a high bar for accuracy, tone, and professionalism.

Collaborate Like a Pro

  • Work hand-in-hand with project managers and creatives to align content with design and client expectations.
  • Serve as a content expert across teams, offering guidance and insights as needed.
  • Keep teams informed of content updates to ensure every deliverable reflects our latest and best thinking.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university with major course work in English, Marketing, Business, Communications or related field required.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years in sales-focused content writing and editing
    • Strong preference for proposal response development, project management, and sales & marketing operations development.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communications skills; must have a thorough understanding of grammar and strong copy writing/editing skills.
  • High proficiency in applications including Microsoft Office Suite, Keynote, SharePoint, and Adobe Creative Suite.
    • InDesign experience and skills are a huge plus!
    • Loopio or other RFP management platform experience a huge plus!
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline- and results-driven environment.
  • Flexibility to work beyond normal business hours and travel as needed, up to 30%
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented with ability to handle multiple assignments concurrently.
