Overview
The Concession Cashier is responsible for providing excellent guest service while accurately processing food and beverage transactions in a fast-paced concession environment. This position assists guests with menu selections, operates the point-of-sale system, maintains clean and organized work areas, and supports efficient concession operations during events and peak service periods.
This role will pay an hourly wage of $16.90-$17.90 and is tip eligible.
This is a seasonal role from June 25, 2026, and will end on September 30, 2026.
This position will remain open until August 28, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests in a friendly, professional, and timely manner
- Accurately process transactions using the point-of-sale system
- Assist guests with menu selections and answer questions regarding food and beverage offerings
- Maintain knowledge of concession menu items, promotions, and pricing
- Prepare and serve food and beverage items in accordance with company standards as needed
- Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked cashier and concession areas throughout each shift
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain dining tables, counters, condiment stations, and guest seating areas to ensure a clean and welcoming environment
- Assist with removing trays, trash, and debris from guest areas during and after service
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
- Restock food, beverages, condiments, and supplies as needed during service
- Complete opening and closing procedures accurately and efficiently
- Work collaboratively with concession staff and management to ensure efficient operations and guest satisfaction
- Address guest concerns professionally and escalate issues to management when necessary
- Maintain company standards for attendance, punctuality, professionalism, and appearance
Qualifications
- Previous cashier, concession, retail, or customer service experience preferred
- Basic math and transaction processing skills
- Ability to operate a point-of-sale system accurately and efficiently
- Strong communication and guest service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Ability to lift heavy objects as needed.
- Flexible schedule availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid California Food Handler Card as required by state law
