Overview
The primary duty of the Competitive Meet Technician is to assist Meet Tech Staff in set-up/tear-down for events and operating timing/judging equipment.
This role pays an hourly rate of $15.00 to $17.00

This position will remain open until November 6, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Assist Meet Tech Staff with event setup, including placement and preparation of timing systems, judging equipment, and other event-related materials.
- Support the operation and monitoring of timing and judging equipment during competitive events to ensure accurate event results.
- Assist with event tear-down, including the removal, organization, and storage of equipment following competitions.
- Perform equipment checks before, during, and after events to ensure systems are functioning properly and report any issues to appropriate staff.
- Provide operational support to Meet Tech Staff and event personnel throughout competitions.
- Assist with troubleshooting basic equipment or technical issues and communicate concerns to supervisors as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe event environment while following facility and event-specific procedures.
- Ensure equipment is handled carefully and stored properly to support future events.
- Provide support during a variety of competitions, including setup, event operations, and post-event breakdown activities.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience supporting athletic events, competitions, event operations, or technical equipment is preferred but not required.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn and operate event timing and scoring systems.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow procedures and accurately complete assigned tasks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced event environment.
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and event days as needed.
- Ability to lift, move, and transport event equipment as required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with staff, athletes, officials, and guests.
- Ability to remain focused and organized during live events where timing and accuracy are critical.
