Overview

The Catering Runner assists the Catering/Suite Manager in providing Premium guests with a pleasant experience. The Catering Runner is primarily responsible for setting the suite up with appropriate pre-ordered and complimentary food and beverage items and serving equipment before the guests arrive. Following the event the Catering Runner will clear away any remaining food and equipment, restoring the Suite to pre-event condition.

 

The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work a variable event-driven schedule which includes evenings and weekends. Open availability, professional presentation, outstanding interpersonal skills, self-direction and strong management and independent decision-making skills are required.

 

In light of the seasonal and event-driven nature of our business, the position will run from mid-February until the end of March for the Spring Training season, with ability to return when event season begins again next Winter. Schedule varies depending on game time and attendance.

 

This is a seasonal role from February 13, 2026 and will end on March 24, 2026.

 

This role will pay an hourly rate of $17.00.

 

This position will remain open until March 13, 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the Catering Manager & Catering Captain in serving meals to guests in the suites and premium areas.
  • Responsible for observing guests to respond to any additional requests and determine when the meal has been completed.
  • Responsible for cleaning up remaining food product and equipment after the guests have left.
  • Responsible for keeping the Suite and Premium work areas and equipment clean.
  • Responsible for setting up the Suite and Premium areas with preordered and complimentary food and beverage product and required serving equipment.
  • Maintains sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas.
  • Must show demonstrated ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance.

Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and guests in a clear, business-like and respectful manner which focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic and cooperative work environment.
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Possess valid food handling certificate and alcohol service permit if required by state and federal regulations.
  • Ability to walk, stand, possibly extended distances; ability to bend and climb stairs when necessary
  • Ability to frequently lift/carry up to 25 lbs, occasionally lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
