Overview
The Catering Bartender is responsible for providing exceptional beverage service at the John Deere Golf Tournament while delivering a welcoming and professional guest experience. This role prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in hospitality areas, premium venues, and catered events while maintaining compliance with all alcohol service regulations, company standards, and food safety guidelines. The ideal candidate is dependable, customer-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced event environment.
This role pays an hourly rate of $18.50
This is a seasonal role from June 29, 2026, and will end on July 5, 2026.
This position will remain open until July 5, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to company recipes and service standards.
- Verify guests' identification and ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws and responsible beverage service policies.
- Provide friendly, professional, and efficient customer service to guests, clients, and event attendees.
- Set up, stock, and break down bar areas before, during, and after each event.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, including workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
- Accurately process beverage orders using the point-of-sale (POS) system when applicable.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to supervisors.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company policies.
- Work collaboratively with catering staff, supervisors, and other team members to ensure smooth event operations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous bartending experience in catering, hospitality, restaurants, hotels, or special events preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and tournament event days.
- Responsible alcohol service certification (where required by state or local law).
- Must meet the minimum legal age to serve alcoholic beverages in accordance with state regulations.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Punctual attendance is required.
