Overview

Building Services Supervisor is responsible for ensuring standards of cleaning are met, performing custodial quality checks, training new employees on proper custodial procedures & hospitality, general maintenance of facilities, event set-up ensuring client standards are met, scheduling, opening and/or closing of the venue, and other duties assigned by the Director of Operations.

 

This role pays an hourly rate of $18.00-$20.00

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the cleanliness throughout the Fort Smith Convention Center and ArcBest Performing Arts Center.
  • Manage event set-up & janitorial staff.
  • Create weekly staff schedule based on business needs.
  • Ability to vacuum, clean restrooms, wipe surfaces, change trash cans, and other cleaning functions as assigned.
  • Coordinate and supervise post-cleans and day-to-day janitorial crew
  • Ensure room sets meet clients standards and venue is set according to the Banquet Event Order.
  • Assist with the daily maintenance operations of the building
  • Organize all storage rooms to be in neat and working order
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained and in good working condition (vacuums, scrubbers, extractors. etc)
  • Train staff on proper use & care of cleaning equipment
  • Other Duties as Assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience with facility coordination and direct employee supervision
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with ability to function in a multi-task environment
  • Ability to work beyond normal business hours as required, including but not limited to nights, weekends and holidays
