Overview
The Building Security Supervisor oversees daily security operations within the Arena, leading a team of Security Officers to ensure a safe, secure, and high-quality experience for guests, employees, and partners. This role manages security systems and credentialing, responds to incidents and emergencies, coordinates with internal teams and external agencies, and ensures staffing, compliance, and operational efficiency. The Supervisor acts as the Security Manager in their absence.
This role will pay an hourly wage of $29.75

Responsibilities
- Supervises a team of Security Officers that always provide the highest level of service within a safe and secure environment for our guests and employees within the operating areas of the Arena.
- Maintains an administrative knowledge level of Genetec, to include Access Control and Camera configuration as well as credentialing for Arena employees and our 3rd party partners.
- Act as a liaison with local law enforcement, client representatives, talent/sports team security and outside agencies.
- Responds to and makes immediate decisions regarding security emergencies in a fast paced, time sensitive environment.
- Manages interactions with internal departments and external clients to minimize expense and maximize budgeted results while maintaining optimal operating efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and document in the Arena’s 24/7 Incident Management Software, any incidents and/or problems including those affecting clients, guests, and staff or operating issues.
- Conducts inspections of posts and Security Officers for proper compliance with the specific Post Orders, Standard Operating Procedures, and general knowledge of post assignment
- Manage Officers’ schedules and staffing needs to ensure a safe and efficient operation. Act as the liaison between the Officer’s and payroll.
- Represent as the acting Security Manager in their absence.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of security experience in a large venue or similar environment
- Supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Working knowledge of access control and CCTV systems (Genetec preferred)
- Ability to respond effectively to emergencies and make sound decisions under pressure
- Experience coordinating with law enforcement and external partners
- Strong understanding of security procedures, post orders, and compliance standards
- Experience with incident reporting and basic administrative systems
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and event days
- CPR/AED and First Aid certification preferred (or ability to obtain)
