This role pays an hourly rate of $20.20-$21.20 CAD

Responsibilities
- Access Control: Effectively manage and monitor the flow of personnel and vehicles entering and exiting the facility, ensuring adherence to security protocols.
- Life Safety Monitoring: Continuously oversee life safety systems (e.g., fire alarms, emergency systems) and take prompt action in response to any alerts or incidents.
- Surveillance & Patrol: Conduct regular video surveillance monitoring and physical patrols of the premises to ensure security and prevent unauthorized activity.
- Guest Assistance: Greet and assist visitors with information and directions, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for all.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date logs of daily events, including occurrences, deliveries, visitor access, and other security-related activities.
- Delivery Management: Accept and inspect deliveries, while interacting professionally with truck and bus drivers to coordinate their access to the facility.
- Inventory Management: Oversee the issuance and tracking of keys, radios, and other essential equipment to staff and authorized personnel.
- Credentialing: Issue, verify, and monitor credentials, passes, and wristbands to ensure only authorized individuals have access to designated areas.
Qualifications
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License is required.
- Ability to multitask in a fast‐paced environment and handle stressful situations with professionalism and discretion
- Capable of working a flexible schedule and extended hours, including but not limited to working 12 hours, early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays in addition to traditional business hours
- Familiarity with Windows based computers, experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to Policies and Procedures
- Possess excellent customer service skills, have experience working with the public
- Ability to work independently and as a productive member of a team
- Proven ability to work well with all levels of management
- Must be able to work in a loud noise environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in the English language
- Ability to walk moderate distances, navigate stairs and ramps
- Background and/or training in law and security is an asset.
