Beertender| Part-Time | Worcester Red Sox (Polar Park)
Overview
This role will pay an hourly rate of $6.75 and is tip eligible.

Responsibilities
- Demonstrate the ability to meet company standards for excellence in guest service, interaction with co-workers, and uniform standards.
- Follow all pre-shift notes, beer menus, and location-specific service expectations.
- Serve alchohol while following all proper procedures, including state and federal regulations related to alcohol service.
- Responsible for learning the beer, canned cocktail, wine, and other approved beverage options available and being able to suggestively upsell products to guests.
- Pour and serve beverages responsibly in accordance with company standards for serving size.
- Check guest IDs in accordance with state and federal regulations to verify the minimum age requirement for purchasing alcoholic beverages.
- Communicate a cut-off to a guest when required.
- Listen and respond to guest requests, questions, or concerns in a professional manner.
- Beertenders are expected to help de-escalate intoxicated guest situations. If a guest becomes confrontational or belligerent or uses extreme profanity, the beertender may contact management or security as required.
- Contact a member of management if unable to resolve an issue or if a decision is beyond the scope of standard decision-making.
- Request additional products or restock products as needed.
- Responsible for the issued bank at the assigned beer location.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation at all times. Ensure equipment, coolers, and service areas are clean, organized, and well maintained.
- Other duties as assigned may include setting up and breaking down beer equipment, stocking coolers, organizing product, and assisting with location cleanup
Qualifications
Previous experience serving beer or alcoholic beverages is preferred, but not required.
High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
Alcohol service certification is required.
Accurate cash handling skills required.
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to be self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to follow alcohol service policies, including ID checks, responsible serving, and guest cut-offs.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and long hours.
