Overview

The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while providing customer service to guests at Deluxx Fluxx. This position processes orders and payments, maintains the bar area, and follows all company, venue, and legal requirements related to alcohol service.

 

This role pays an hourly rate of $11.35 and is tip eligible.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and portion guidelines.
  • Take guest orders and accurately process payments using the POS system.
  • Check guest identification before serving alcohol and follow all age-verification requirements.
  • Follow all company, venue, state, and local alcohol service laws and policies.
  • Monitor guests for signs of intoxication and refuse or stop alcohol service when required.
  • Notify a supervisor or manager of alcohol-related concerns or incidents.
  • Follow responsible alcohol service procedures at all times.
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar and work area.
  • Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, cups, and other supplies as needed.
  • Maintain control of alcoholic beverages and follow inventory procedures.
  • Provide customer service and communicate with guests and team members.
  • Complete opening and closing duties as assigned.
  • Follow sanitation, safety, cash-handling, and venue procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous bartending or high-volume food and beverage experience preferred.
  • Must meet all state and local age requirements to serve alcoholic beverages.
  • Must obtain and complete all required alcohol service certification and compliance training before working.
  • Ability to recognize signs of intoxication and follow procedures for refusing service.
  • Ability to accurately verify acceptable forms of identification.
  • Must have basic math, cash-handling, and POS skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced music venue environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or move bar supplies as needed.
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends, holidays, and scheduled events.
