Overview

The Bar Manager is responsible for overseeing all bar operations during golf tournaments and special events. This role ensures efficient beverage service, proper staffing, compliance with alcohol service laws, inventory control, and exceptional guest experience. The Bar Manager will lead bar staff, manage setup and breakdown, and maintain smooth operations in a fast-paced, high-volume event environment.

 

This is a seasonal role from February 13, 2026 and will end on June 13, 2026. 

 

This role pays an hourly rate of $28.00

 

This position will remain open until May 22, 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily bar operations during tournament days and special event functions

  • Supervise bartenders and barbacks, ensuring proper service standards are followed

  • Coordinate bar setup, stocking, and breakdown of all bar areas

  • Ensure compliance with all alcohol laws and responsible beverage service policies

  • Monitor guest service to ensure quick service and professional interactions

  • Manage inventory of alcohol, mixers, garnishes, cups, ice, and bar supplies

  • Track product usage and report shortages or restock needs to leadership

  • Ensure all bar areas remain clean, organized, and safe throughout the event

  • Handle guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when needed

  • Ensure proper cash handling and POS procedures are followed by staff

  • Support leadership with staffing needs and scheduling adjustments as necessary

  • Enforce safety procedures and assist with training new bar team members

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • 3-5 years previous bar management or supervisory experience required (event experience preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of bar operations, inventory, and high-volume service
  • Ability to lead a team and manage multiple bar stations at once
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work long shifts outdoors and in varying weather conditions
  • Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs (cases of beverages/ice)
  • Reliable transportation and strong punctuality required
  • Comfortable working early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on tournament schedule
  • TABC/ServSafe Alcohol Certification preferred (or must obtain prior to start date)
  • POS experience preferred
