As a Banquet Server, you will play an important role in delivering exceptional food and beverage service at a variety of catered events, including weddings, galas, corporate functions, conferences, sporting events, and community celebrations. This role pays an hourly rate of $19.00-$21.00 CAD and is tip eligible.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering professional food and beverage service with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction.
  • Reading and executing Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) accurately.
  • Setting up, replenishing, and maintaining food and beverage stations throughout the venue.
  • Assisting with event room set-up, room turnovers, and post-event clean-up.
  • Maintaining clean, organized, and professional event spaces and service areas.
  • Anticipating guest needs and responding promptly to inquiries and requests.
  • Working collaboratively with kitchen, catering, and event teams to ensure successful event execution.
  • Following all health, safety, and workplace procedures.
  • Assisting with inventory management and event preparation as required.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in banquets, catering, hospitality, restaurants, or events preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.
  • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and dependable attendance.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts as required by event schedules.
  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Able to frequently bend, reach, twist, and move throughout event spaces.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull heavy objects.
  • Must be comfortable working in a busy, high-energy environment, with frequent guest interaction.
