Overview
We are looking for a dynamic, service-oriented Food and Beverage Banquet Captain to lead our banquet team in delivering exceptional dining experiences during events. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a passion for food and beverage service, and a commitment to ensuring that every guest’s experience is memorable. This role requires someone with excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask, and the ability to manage a team to ensure smooth event operations.
This role pays an hourly rate of $15 to $18.

Responsibilities
- Menu Planning: Collaborate with the catering manager to review the event’s menu and make sure all food and drink BEOs are available and updated
- Communicate with Clients: Confirm guest preferences, dietary restrictions, and any special requests related to food and beverages.
- Staff Briefing: Meet with the banquet team, including servers & bartenders to discuss event details, service expectations, and timings.
- Ensure Correct Setup: lead the setup of food stations, buffet tables, bar areas, or plated-service tables, ensuring everything is arranged according to the client’s specifications.
- Manage Beverage Stations: Ensure that beverage stations or bars are well-stocked and ready for service, paying attention to both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options.
- Check Table Settings: Confirm that all utensils, glassware, and plates are correctly arranged for each guest.
- Ensure Proper Cleanup: Oversee the breakdown and cleanup of food and beverage stations, ensuring all leftover food is cleared and disposed of according to guidelines.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must meet state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages. (18+)
