Overview
The Banquet Bartender is responsible for providing exceptional beverage service during conventions, meetings, banquets, receptions, galas, and special events. This position prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while delivering outstanding guest service in a fast-paced event environment. The Banquet Bartender ensures compliance with responsible alcohol service practices, maintains a clean and organized work area, and contributes to the successful execution of all events.
This role pays an hourly rate of $18.00 - $20.00.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve beer, wine, cocktails, mixed drinks, and non-alcoholic beverages according to event specifications and company standards.
- Deliver friendly, professional, and efficient service to guests during events.
- Set up and break down banquet bars, including stocking products, glassware, garnishes, and supplies.
- Verify guest age and monitor alcohol consumption in accordance with applicable laws and responsible beverage service guidelines.
- Accurately operate point-of-sale systems and process transactions when applicable.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar areas throughout events.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to supervisors and barbacks.
- Assist with inventory control and product accountability procedures.
- Work closely with banquet captains, servers, culinary staff, and event leadership to ensure seamless event execution.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and concerns.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, health, and workplace safety standards.
- Assist with post-event cleanup and closing procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous bartending experience in hospitality, catering, restaurants, hotels, convention centers, stadiums, arenas, or banquet operations preferred.
- Knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and cocktail preparation.
- Excellent guest service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle cash and operate POS systems when required.
- Alcohol service certification required or ability to obtain it upon hire.
- Food handler certification preferred.
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and event-based hours.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive motions.
- Ability to work in crowded and fast-paced event environments.
- Ability to transport beverage products, ice, and supplies as needed.
