Overview
The AV Technician supports the setup, operation, and breakdown of audio, video, lighting, and scoreboard systems to ensure seamless and high-quality event execution with a strong focus on presentation and guest experience in a fast-paced, live event environment.
This role pays an hourly rate of $20.00

Responsibilities
- Assist with setup and teardown of AV equipment, including mixers, microphones, projectors, screens, lights, etc.
- Serve as an operator for various positions on in-house production crew (light board, sound board, camera operator).
- Set up, operate, and break down AV equipment before, during, and after events.
- Operate cameras, microphones, switchers, and other AV equipment as assigned.
- Support the execution of live-event production by following cues and directions from production staff.
- Troubleshoot technical issues quickly and effectively during live events.
- Maintain a professional focus on presentation quality and guest experience.
- Perform routine upkeep, cleaning, and basic maintenance of equipment.
- Track, store, and organize production equipment and inventory.
- Assist with cable management, equipment transport, and safe handling of all technology.
- Collaborate with other technicians, staff, and event personnel to ensure smooth event operations.
- Follow all safety procedures and support the safe setup and use of equipment.
Qualifications
- Prior AV experience working in a live production setting is required.
- Open to working nights, weekends and holidays, as well as additional hours when needed.
- Work from general instructions and specifications, with minimal supervision.
- Ability to meet deadlines and function in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Basic knowledge of AV systems, including cameras, microphones, switchers, consoles, and playback devices.
- Ability to troubleshoot common technical issues under time-sensitive conditions.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on presentation quality and guest experience.
- Ability to follow cues, directions, and production schedules accurately.
- Familiarity with signal flow, basic wiring, and cable management.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment (typically 25-50 lbs.) and work on your feet for extended periods.
