Overview

Under general supervision of the AV & Broadcast Manager, the AV & Broadcast Coordinator will be responsible to provide support, management, set up, tear down, and maintenance of all AV, event presentation and broadcasting equipment including Daktronics scoreboards, IPTVs, field and ribbon boards. This position will assist in scheduling and communicating with all event staff.

 

This role pays an hourly rate of $22.00-$27.00

Responsibilities

  • Supply AV support to all sporting events, concerts, festivals, special events and family shows.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of all Daktronics, IPTV, LED ribbon boards, score clock, replay, and other game day systems and equipment.
  • Provide assistance for touring shows for tie-ins to house system as needed.
  • Support Operations department in technical needs during set up and running of events
  • Provide setup and tear down of all portable systems.
  • Provide setup and tear down of all IPTVs and associated equipment and controls.
  • Assist with crewing for all broadcast and AV positions required for each event
  • Assist in installing new technology throughout the stadium
  • Assist in off-season maintenance and preventative maintenance projects
  • Providing great customer service to all clients and employees with AV needs
  • Assist with maintaining equipment storage, ensure orderly and clean storage area
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities:

  • Working knowledge of production systems such as video switchers, routers, audio and video streaming equipment.
  • Experience with lighting, sound and video equipment including wireless mics, mixers, amplifiers, speakers, video boards, etc.
  • Experience with multi-camera production
  • Prior Daktronics experience a plus.
  • Working knowledge of DMX controls
  • Experience with signal routing and patching
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to successfully communicate with the public, other employees, live production and communications staff, and vendors.
  • Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work events above and beyond the normal working day, including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills; working with both internal and external clients
  • Exposure to Windows Operating Systems is a plus
  • The ability to work effectively with people from a variety of culturally diverse backgrounds.
  • The ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work, nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Effectively work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
