Overview
The Accounting Internship position is based at our Ford Idaho Center location.
Internship Structure and Expectations
- Internships are expected to be a 4-6 month commitment. This allows the student to experience the venue through multiple event cycles.
- Internships are considered part time with a varied weekly schedule requiring an estimated 20-30 hours per week depending on events as they impact accounting workflow.
- Learning agenda will include all aspects of venue management accounting cycles including a/p, a/r, event closing, month end closing activities, and financial statement preparation.
- Interns will engage in weekly financial training calls discussing various accounting topics applied to venue managment.
Phases of internship are evaluated as follows: Orientation & training, Observation, Learning, and Implementation of skills and tasks.
This role will pay an hourly wage of $18.00-$22.00.

Responsibilities
- Assist in A/P Process and preparation of accounts payable invoices.
- Assist in posting entries to general ledger accounts; run trial balances
- Assist with month end closing procedures.
- Assist in preparation of event settlements and sales journals.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Perform analysis of accounting records; prepare event profitability statements.
- Prepare sales statements.
- Assist in preparation of a variety of financial statements, reports, and analyses.

Education and Experience:
- Actively pursuing an undergraduate or a graduate degree at an accredited college or university, preferably in Accounting, Event Management, Hospitality Management, Sport Management, Business, or related fields.
- Interest/Experience with live events is preferred but not required.
