Overview
The Accounting Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the finance and accounting team by performing various administrative and accounting tasks. The coordinator is responsible for ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, timely processing of transactions, and assisting in the preparation of financial reports.
This role pays an hourly rate of $29.00 to $35.00

Responsibilities
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up with Director of Finance regarding status and potential areas of concern.
- Expense Management: Review and process employee expense reports. Verify expenses against company policies and reconcile discrepancies.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Assist in maintaining the general ledger by recording journal entries and ensuring proper coding of transactions.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports. Generate financial reports as needed for management review. Budget Support: Collaborate with the finance team to support budgeting and forecasting activities. Track and report budget variances. Ensure compliance with accounting timelines and requirements.
- Vendor and Client Relations: Communicate with vendors and customers regarding payment and invoicing inquiries. Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders.
- Record Keeping: Undertake special projects and tasks as assigned by the finance managers or directors.
Qualifications
- Proven interest in accounting or finance.
- Accounting and/or Hospitality experience preferred.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Sage, Infor) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
