Overview

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Accounting Clerk will provide accounting and clerical support to the Finance & Accounting department. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, proactive, and a collaborative professional responsible for supporting the financial infrastructure of the Food & Beverage Department at Moody Center.  

 

This role will pay a wage of $20 to $25.

Responsibilities

  • Process Accounts Payable via automated AP system 
  • Accurately code company expenses utilizing the chart accounts 
  • Respond to vendor and internal inquires 
  • Weekly AP payment runs 
  • Collaborate with various departments to obtain approvals for AP invoices 
  • Record daily bank deposits/withdrawals 
  • Prepare daily/weekly summary of bank account balances 
  • Update weekly Accounts Receivable schedules 
  • Prepare and execute journal entries 
  • Assist with balance sheet reconciliations 
  • Organize important information that is delivered 
  • Review employee expenses 
  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in public accounting and/or financial management 
  • B.S. in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university is preferred. 
  • Experience working in entertainment or venues is preferred. 
  • The ability to work night, weekends, and holidays as required. 
  • Experience with Tipalti and NetSuite preferred. 
  • Be a business partner with other departments ensuring financial success of the venue. 
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles. 
  • Excellent math skills, high aptitude for figures. 
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and organizational ability. 
  • Excellent time management skills. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs.
