Overview

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Assistant to support our Director of Finance.  This role is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their accounting career who is eager to learn, gain hands-on experience, and build a strong foundation in hospitality finance within a large, respected organization.

 

You’ll work closely with the Director of Finance to help maintain accurate financial records and support key processes that keep operations running smoothly. As part of Oak View Group, you’ll also have potential internal mobility opportunities, allowing high-performing team members to grow their careers and pursue advancement opportunities across venues and markets - potentially anywhere in the world.

 

Schedule may include weekends and holidays based on operational needs, with occasional work outside regular office hours for ticketed events. Responsibilities would include, but not limited to, selling tickets, reconciling sales during events, and occasionally operating a cash register at the bar.

 

This role pays an hourly rate of $14.00-$16.25

Responsibilities

  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
  • Assist with event settlements and customer billing
  • Assist with cash handling reconciliation, including daily sales and POS reports
  • Help with bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Maintain organized financial records, invoices, and supporting documentation
  • Track expenses related to indirect costs
  • Support month-end close and reporting activities
  • Assist with audit requests as needed
  • Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding billing questions
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support

Qualifications

  • Minimum Two-year degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field or 1-3 years’ experience in an accounting/administrative position with increasing level of oversight and responsibility.
  • Ability to work independently and remain flexible in role.
  • Consistent and reliable attention to detail, accuracy, and validity.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, changing environment. Must work well under pressure of deadlines.
  • Ability to successfully interact and collaborate with all team members professionally and supportively.
  • Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with company and business contacts.
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information.
  • Extensive experience preparing accurate spreadsheets and reports.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with POS systems or hospitality management software, such as NetSuite, COUPA, EPM or FloQast
