Overview

The Account Executive for ticket sales is responsible for achieving monthly and/or yearly revenue targets for AHL ticket packages including season memberships, partial memberships, group sales and game day sales, as required. The Account Executive will assist with servicing these accounts as necessary and be able to contribute to building the strategy for the ticket sales team. This role will include outbound and inbound sales execution to maximize revenue associated with all products and will include outbound sales efforts to local companies, community groups, sports associations, and individuals.

 

This role pays an annual salary of $50,000-$65,000 CAD and is bonus eligible.

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed established monthly and/or yearly goals for membership, partial membership, group and individual game sales, as well as servicing these accounts, as necessary.  
  • Use all forms of selling practices to ensure success, including but not limited to cold call prospecting, social selling, email communication and in-person meetings.
  • Handle inbound and outbound sales prospecting from all customer groups – new and former customers, corporations, community groups, as well as sports associations for all ticket products.
  • Participate in outside networking events to gain additional business & develop relationships with new customers.
  • Establish professional relationships in order to create repeat business and superior customer service.
  • Maintain complete and accurate records for customers.
  • Track and manage weekly sales leads and activities, and overall sales through the use of CRM-Salesforce.
  • Work home games to assist ticket sales promotional programs, as necessary.
  • Handle special projects related to the department as assigned.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Collaborate across all departments, including but not limited to premium sales, marketing, building operations, security, and food & beverage to ensure alignment of program execution.
  • Entertain and nurture relationships with clients and prospects through creative means, e.g., networking events, one-on-one dinners/lunches, prospect sampling and seat vists at events.
  • Enter all pertinent prospect and customer information in CRM platform for efficient reporting and historical data purposes.
  • Maximize relationships with clients to identify new revenue opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Premium sales and service teams to generate new sales leads.
  • Design, present and execute proposals to prospective clients and referrals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or a combination of related education and work experience.
  • 1-3 years of sales/service or related experience preferred.
  • Professional demeanor and positive attitude with a demonstrated passion for working with people.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office with Salesforce or similar CRM experience - Ticketmaster platform experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
