Overview
As a member of our Global Partnerships team, the Director of Sales for OVG Media & Conferences will be responsible for maintaining and driving advertising revenue, predominantly from the West Region of the country, for our print and online publications as well as our annual industry conferences and events. This person will become part of the Global Partnerships team that is responsible for driving revenue at over 200 venues, 18 NBA & 19 NHL teams and was recognized as the winner of the 2021 Sports Business Awards Best in Property Consulting, Sales and Client Services. This position will work closely with the Media & Conferences team to create revenue generating initiatives, increase advertising sales, develop key industry relationships and continue to build our M&C Brands. We are looking for hard-working individuals with a passion for music and live entertainment and a track record of success.
This role pays an annual salary of $100,000-$125,000 and is bonus eligible.

Responsibilities
- Prospect, develop and sell advertising inventory and integrated business partnerships with a focus on the venue, entertainment, and touring industries.
- Effectively articulate a solutions-based approach based on a client’s business needs.
- Ability to grow business and develop new revenue through media products and conference opportunities.
- Create partnerships with music and live entertainment industry organizations.
- Perform well in a competitive and collaborative environment including Sales, Events, Marketing, & Communications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong negotiation and presentation skills.
- Maintain constant contact with clients before, during, and after the sale to establish and positively manage the business relationship.
- Create and effectively maintain reporting documents in an organized manner; Develop and track new revenue pipeline to present to senior leadership, ownership, etc. on a regular basis.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge of all OVG properties, initiatives and be able to successfully compare with and find ways to out-value industry competition.
- Must have the ability to network and create relationships while working efficiently in a fast-paced sales environment.
- Responsible for achieving established sales goals and budgets as set by management.
- Must be able to work industry and networking events.
- Ability to travel domestically.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 7-10+ years of professional sales experience in a high-performance sales environment, (agency or publication industry preferred).
- High level of experience in print and/or digital ad sales preferred.
- History of established relationships in the industry and/or on the West Coast is preferred.
- Strong understanding of the live events industry, organizations, and relevant supporting business segments.
