Overview
Responsible for assisting in the day to day of event-related marketing, group sales efforts, promotions, and advertising functions designed to sell tickets to Stormont Vail Events Center events. This position will work within the Marketing Department to promote the Stormont Vail Events Center, all Complex facilities and its events while creating and maintaining relationships with media and promotional partners. The Marketing & Group Sales Coordinator will assist in advertising, media buying, promotions, public relations, social media and grassroots efforts for events at the Events Center and general venue branding, as assigned. The Marketing & Group Sales Coordinator will also assist and support the marketing efforts for other departments such as Corporate Partnerships, Convention Sales, Operations, etc.
Responsibilities
· Assist in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns specific to each family shows, concerts, or sporting events to maximize attendance and ticket revenue. This includes but is not limited to media planning-negotiating-buying, promotion implementation, publicity, database marketing, social media strategy, trade media allocation, digital marketing, and settlement preparation.
· Responsible for servicing and fulfillment of Group Sales for all events, including but not limited to processing and mailing tickets, contracts, assist in updating and sending collateral, and follow-up of meetings.
· Work in conjunction with other members of the Stormont Vail Events Center marketing team to effectively communicate and promote events through venue assets, event sponsorships, promotional partnerships, community efforts, media partners, trade partnerships and group marketing campaigns on a show-by-show basis.
· Achieve/exceed appropriate sales goals as determined by management.
· Maintain relationships with national and local promoters, record labels, touring personnel, and media partners.
· Engage in client outreach, development and creation of sales presentations and collateral materials.
· Adhere to established reporting procedures for all sales activity; track and manage weekly sales reports; provide timely and accurate financial recaps of all programs.
· Collaborate with promoters on set up, budgeting, and execution of Group Sales programs for events.
· Assists with development and implementation of revenue and expense budget for Group Sales department as well as continued development and creation of new revenue streams.
· Work with media partners on trade opportunities for family shows and events.
· Assist with event marketing efforts and initiatives including but not limited to: marketing material (admats, digital assets, etc.) distribution, PR and media needs, and ticketing promotions.
· Maintain and update venue website with all event and guest experience updates.
· Create content, maintain, and build social media followings on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn.
· Assist in managing email marketing campaigns, including promotional emails, presales, database communication and database maintenance.
· Assist marketing team as on-site marketing department representative for designated events (e.g. duties may include serving as venue PR representative, media escorting, sponsor and/or promotional partner implementation, media partner implementation, etc.).
· Work closely with Premium and Sponsorship Sales, Box Office, Food & Beverage and other departments on implementation of marketing campaigns and fulfillment of contractual requirements.
· Maintain and create detailed media budgets, settlement reconciliations and recap summaries for facility events
· Coordinate marketing efforts between promoters, artist management and local media
· Develop new marketing programs and initiatives to maximize ticket sales such as third-party partnerships, new media avenues
· Assist Director of Marketing in preparation of monthly corporate marketing reports and participate in monthly conference calls with other Spectra Venue Management entities
· Participate in the development and implementation of annual marketing goals, objectives, policies and priorities
· Recruit and assist managing marketing department intern recruitment and assignments
· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
· Minimum of Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Communications, or Sports/ Entertainment Management
· Minimum of 2-3 years marketing experience preferred with increased responsibilities
· Prior Sports and Entertainment Industry experience preferred
· Proficient in Photoshop, Microsoft Office Applications, Adobe Applications, and all social media platforms
· Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
· Excellent written and verbal skills; knowledge of Associated Press Writing Style
· Experience in digital/traditional marketing, social media, and group/premium sales preferred
· Excellent interpersonal skills
· Strong work ethic
· Creative and proactive problem solver
· Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and select holidays
· Experience with large-scale events in a stadium or concert setting of a similar size (10,000 seats) is highly desirable.

· While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is continuously asked to multi-task under time limits. Position requires constant attention to precise details and accuracy of specified standards including: following simple to complex (more than 3 steps) instructions and concentration which frequently extends beyond 30 minutes at a time. Employees in this role will constantly be in leadership role; this requires directing others either verbally or in writing to complete tasks in prescribed time frame. This position also requires constant use of interpersonal skills including: ability to direct/motivate/inform staff and foster
collaboration, being able to recognize and resolve conflicts, being able to openly communicate in writing and verbally with clients.
Physical Demands:
· While performing the duties of the job, the employee constantly operates a computer and other office devices such telephones, copy machines, fax machines, etc; occasionally move about inside the office to access storage areas, cabinets and office machinery; constantly communicate via telephone, email and in-person with others and exchange accurate information.
Work Environment:
· The duties of this position are performed primarily in doors in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal-to-moderate during non-event days and moderate-to-loud during event days.
