As a member of our Global Partnerships team, the Director of Global Partnerships at the Rio Rancho Events Center will be responsible for maintaining and driving new business revenue for the Center locally and cross sell over our national footprint.  The Global Partnerships portfolio includes over 200 venues, 18 NBA and 19 NHL teams.  This position will work hand in hand with the Regional Director of Global Partnerships to build sponsorship strategy and cultivate c-level relationships to bring value and profitability to OVG. We are looking for hard-working, creative individuals who have a passion for sports and entertainment.




  • Act as the leader and key stakeholder in OVG Global Partnerships commercial sales process for the Rio Rancho Events Center.
  • Work with Regional Director of OVG Global Partnerships to develop a strategic plan to drive revenue for all designated OVG projects.
  • Prospect, develop and sell new integrated business partnerships to accomplish sales goals.
  • Work toward integrating, aligning, and executing the Global Partnerships sales goals.
  • Assists in the exploration and growth of the client account list by leveraging creative ideas for generating leads for both partnerships and premium seating.
  • Create and effectively maintain reporting documents in an organized manner; Develop and track new revenue pipeline to present to senior leadership, ownership, etc. on a weekly/monthly basis.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge of all OVG properties, initiatives and be able to successfully compare with competitors.
  • Work with the Global Partnerships team to identify and create partnership assets for designated OVG properties; Develop innovative platforms and programs to drive incremental revenue for OVG; Take leadership in the creation of sales materials.
  • Provide weekly Director Report indicating status on all business development and department administrative action items.
  • Must have the ability to network and create relationships while working efficiently in a fast-paced sales environment.
  • Responsible for achieving established sales goals and budgets as set by Regional Director.
    • Completing and updating reporting and tracking systems.
    • Work directly with other departments of OVG Global Partnerships, OVG 360, and City (marketing, operations, accounting, box office, tenant team personnel).
    • Must be able to work events on both nights and weekend.
    • Other duties as appropriate for a department head.



  • Bachelor’s degree required. MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a high-performance sales environment; Sports, Entertainment and/or Arena Industry experience preferred.
  • Must possess strong leadership and organizational skills and be able to function in a multi-task environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be dynamic, forward-thinking, extremely analytical, and well organized.
  • Must have strong strategic thinking and planning skills.
  • Strong natural selling skills with proven experience in pitch and strategic positioning.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word); Adobe Creative Cloud suite (InDesign, Photoshop, etc.) experience a plus.
  • Must have the presence, visibility and record of accomplishment which will enable them to immediately establish credibility both within the organization and with individuals outside.
  • Must possess problem solving capabilities to address and resolve issues that face a growing enterprise. When necessary, he/she will be a strong and effective negotiator, comfortable in both complex negotiations as well as sophisticated business situations.
  • Must be comfortable engaging in a variety of different communicative modes (verbal, non-verbal, and written) and being attuned to others through strong active listening skills.
  • Must produce results and be bottom-line oriented yet will possess sensitivity towards people and values.
  • Experienced with the development and execution of dynamic and effective platforms.
  • Strong understanding of / or experience with programs integrating social or digital media preferred.
  • Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and information.
