Overview
Under general direction of the SVP of Human Resources Operations, the Payroll Director ensures the efficient and effective operations of the organization’s payroll function in a multi-location, multi-state environment and international location(s)which includes exempt, non-exempt, and union employees. This position helps supervise a decentralized group of site payroll specialists, inclusive all divisions and entities.
This role will pay a wage of $175,000 to $180,000.

Responsibilities
- Provide Customer service and support to venue facilities located across the country, Team Payrolls and Corporate Payrolls
- Complete Corporate Payroll
- Manage all aspects of the payroll process, such as approving transactions and reviewing exemptions.
- Changing individual payrolls as stipulated by management, such as tax deductions or salary adjustments.
- Maintaining payroll systems and reporting any issues to management.
- Supervising personnel involved in payroll and ensuring the best financial practices are adhered to.
- Auditing payroll transactions to ensure that accounts, payment dates, and taxes are accurate and up to date.
- Creating monthly and annual payroll reports for management review.
- Ensuring all payroll systems comply with federal tax laws.
- Create state and federal withholding accounts on behalf of the company, as necessary, to ensure proper quarterly/annual filings.

- Auditing payroll transactions to ensure that accounts, payment dates, and taxes are accurate and up to date.
- Build partnerships and solicit feedback from internal and external business partners to define and develop successful, scalable processes and practices for our Facilities departments/locations.
- Process manual checks when needed for individuals.
- Monitors changes and remains current on legal, regulatory or governmental requirements (e.g., wage and hour, garnishments, tax matters, 401(k) and other benefit deductions).
- Oversees the preparation of required reports or payments to government agencies, insurance companies, or other organizations.
- Uses Time & Attendance system setup and time reporting; performing audits as needed.
- Implements, develops, and oversese the payroll processing activities for the West payroll department, which includes work allocation, problem resolution and training.
- Attends to any payroll-related queries or questions from employees.
- Create and audit reports required by local Collective Bargaining Agreements.
- Supervises ADP Enterprise V5/6 Payroll System to determine changes necessary for better process flow
- Assist in developing audit tools to clean up data while protecting the data integrity of the ADP EV5 Payroll System
- Assist in documenting all payroll processes and procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, human resource management, or a similar field.
- 7-10 years of experience in a management role with Payroll oversight
- Excellent knowledge of payroll software.
- Familiarity with labor legislation and multi-state federal tax laws.
- The ability to ethically work with employee-sensitive information.
- Solid knowledge of data entry management.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with team members.
- Thorough knowledge & understanding of ADP Enterprise Payroll & ADP eTime/TimeSaver
- Proficient in Windows environment with strong Excel skills
- Must be accurate and efficient with ability to meet deadlines
