Pool & Spa Technician (Community Pool Operations)
Position Summary
The Pool & Spa Technician is responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, and safety of the community swimming pool and spa facilities. This role ensures water quality, equipment functionality, and a clean, safe, and enjoyable environment for all residents and guests.
Key Responsibilities
Pool & Spa Maintenance
• Test and balance water chemistry (chlorine, pH, alkalinity, etc.) daily
• Clean pool surfaces, skimmers, filters, and surrounding deck areas
• Vacuum pools and maintain proper water levels
• Monitor and maintain spa systems, including heating and filtration
Equipment & Systems
• Inspect, operate, and maintain pumps, filters, heaters, and chemical feeders
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical or operational issues
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and minor repairs
• Coordinate with vendors for major repairs or servicing
Health & Safety Compliance
• Ensure compliance with local and state health regulations
• Maintain accurate logs for chemical usage, inspections, and maintenance
• Respond promptly to safety concerns or emergencies
• Support enforcement of pool rules and safety guidelines
Facility Upkeep
• Monitor inventory of chemicals and supplies; reorder as needed
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO)
• Prior experience in pool/spa maintenance preferred
• Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of water chemistry and safety standards

• Reliable, punctual, and organized
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift 50 lbs (chemicals, equipment)
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods
